Property Details

Tai Cartrefi is the landlord for Llys Glas and is responsible for the management and repair of the building.  Any enquiries about tenancy agreements and maintenance are dealt with by Tai Cartrefi; enquiries regarding rent and room allocations are dealt with by ICWS. Students with any concerns should use the contacts details above to talk to them.  Llys Glas has a total of 80 en-suite bed spaces and kitchen facilities shared between every 4-10 students.

LLys Glas is a recent addition to our portfolio of accommodation and is a redevelopment of one of Swansea's best loved listed buildings, the Old Central Police Station.  Located on Alexandra Road, the building sits at the heart of the areas 'arts and cultural' quarter.  Its redevelopment has been carried out with respect to the original fabric of the building, allowing it to become a creative hub of the community whilst retaining its historical and cultural aspect.  

The build itself relied on sustainable building practices and incorporated energy efficient specifications and the majority of the existing structure was retained and reused, with the listed facade of the building refurbished in sympathy with its original design.

The site is approximately 3-5 minutes walk from the High Street and Railway Station and promotes the use of alternative, sustainable methods of transportation such as public transport or bikes, for which there are secure storage spaces provided.
